Bobbi Dahl - He Loves Me

This right here, is one of the sexiest things ever. I am in love with this girl’s music. Unfortunately this and one other song with the band Teams (who just released a crazy killer amazing album which also features a collaboration track with previously mentioned Ra Cailum) is all I can find on her. I have expressed to most of my close friend that I want to marry a female rapper, and I think I found her. Basically this is Odd Future, but in female form. This song is a collaboration with Persona La Ave, who is ALSO featured on the new Teams album (I’m telling you, you’ve gotta check this out). Tell me what you think in the comments section!

Quiet Hooves - My Girl

I found out about the Athens, Georgia band, Quiet Hooves, from a tweet by Surfer Blood praising their new album which was coming out soon. Well now it’s out and I can’t say enough great things about it. This band has a great style and fun, jumpy attitude. The singing kind of has a Small Black vibe, and his voice slides all over the place, but in a good way. They have a great Daytrotter session that is worth checking out. Their new album, Saddle Up, is up on bandcamp in its entirety. Literally every song is amazing.

Their label, Party Party Partners, also has some other great acts, a pretty sweet website, a way to purchase Saddle Up on vinyl, and more info on the band.

Starfish - Goodbye

This song is a collaboration between my good friends, Delia and Anthony.  I am totally in love with this song, and cant wait for them to collaborate on more songs. Here is a link to the bandcamp: http://starfishyall.bandcamp.com/

Both Anthony and Delia are also in other separate bands called Ra Cailum and Dubb Nubb. I highly suggest you check both of them out. They are always playing shows in the St. Louis area and I’m sure they will soon both be going on US tours. Dubb Nubb just recorded a new album and  their Daytrotter session will be coming out soon. You can download their previous EPs on their bandcamp! Ra Cailum is always posting new material and is about to put out a top notch album on Orchid Tapes! Check out the song Change on his bandcamp, it’s a personal favorite.
